Dance Styles

 

Hand in Hand 

Age: 18 month – 2.5years

This class has been designed for little ones to participate in dance, introducing them to music and beat in a safe environment of their loved ones. Children will listen and dance to their favourite songs through play and learn basic movements enhancing their motor and balancing skills and spatial awareness. Parents and guardians will be assisting their child throughout the lesson.

Kinder Class (Sub Junior)

Age: 3 – 4yrs

Our Kinder class is a great opportunity for your little one to explore ballet and tap in a nurturing environment. During class your child will develop body awareness, coordination, flexibility and rhythm whilst most importantly builds confidence. Students will listen to well known songs to encourage participation and creative moment.

Ballet

Ballet is the basis of all dance styles including hip hop, modern ballet and contemporary. In our classes we aim to focus on teaching students discipline through correct body alignment and posture as well as strength and poise. Is truly the foundation for all dances. Ballet teaches self-discipline, poise, strength & gracefulness.

Tap

Tap is a style of dance made from metal plates on the dancer’s shoes. When steps are put together, different sounds are made making an assortment of rhythmic beats. 

Jazz

Jazz is an upbeat, energetic dance style commonly used in Broadway shows. When choreographing we incorporate sharp movements, flexibility and co-ordination

Contemporary

Contemporary develops creative and expressive movement whilst using the body’s natural lines. Students become more aware of their body as moments are taught to express their inner feelings.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop is one of the most popular dance styles around. It includes elements of locking, popping, krumping and breakdancing. Hip hop involves modern and up to date techniques, using energetic movements.
